Atkinson closes out Piston Cup event with a Mod sweep while other Granite City winners are Sabraski, Adams, Agen, Holtquist and Arnes

SAUK RAPIDS, MN (September 21) - Landon Atkinson scored a WISSOTA Modified clean sweep on the second night of Granite City Speedway’s Piston Cup Saturday evening. The Little Falls, MN racer outgunned Shane Sabraski, WISSOTA 100 winner Dan Ebert, hard charger J.T. Johnson - who moved up 10 spots in the feature - and Brandon Mehrwerth in the Modified headliner.

Modified heat winners were Brennan Gave, Atkinson and Tyler Kaeter.

Sabraski was golden in the WISSOTA Super Stocks, however. The pilot of the No. 7A scored the feature win over Dustin Nelson, Denis Czech, James Trantina and Jordan Henkemeyer.

Max Nelson, Trantina and Czech were Super Stock heat winners.

Blake Adams took the #40 WISSOTA Midwest Mod to victory lane on Saturday night. He was followed in the final finishing order by Ryan Putnam, Cole Elton, Landyn Randt and Kaden Woodie.

Jake Smith, Onyx Johnson and Putnam were the winners of the three Midwest Mod heats.

Ty Agen kept his 2024 road show going strong and topped WISSOTA Street Stock action at the Piston Cup finale. After winning one of two heats early in the evening, Agen picked up the feature victory in the 14-car contest.

Levi Randt finished second followed by Tommy Pogones, Braedyn Fleck and heat one winner Kyle Howland in the top five of the division’s main event.

In four-cylinder action, Dustin Holtquist swept the WISSOTA Mod Fours and Bobie Arnes scored the Hornet feature win.
