Kampsen, Schuler, DeJong, Koch, Johnson and Tollakson tame Friday night Fiesta City competition

MONTEVIDEO, MN (June 28) - A field of 88 cars were at Fiesta City Speedway on Friday night for Meet the Drivers night. When the checkered flags flew, WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Jordan Tollakson, Dexton Koch, Zach Johnson, Ty Schuler, Kole Kampsen, and Shane DeJong.

DeJong, who started on the outside of the front row, led the entire WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature for his first win of the season. He was followed to the stripe by sixth-starter Kylie Kath, Matt Everts, ninth-starter Justin Bjorklund, and Darren Engesser.

Cody Hatch took the lead to start the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Ty Schuler drove by into the top spot on lap five and went on to win his first Street Stock feature at Fiesta City Speedway. Mike Jans improved five spots to second, ninth-starter Justin Vogel finished his charge in third, Hatch was fourth, and 13th-starter Ethan Beckler was fifth.

Dustin Zieske took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. On lap four, fourth-starter Bailey Rosch made the pass for the lead, but five laps later Dexton Koch drove into the top spot and picked up his first feature win at Fiesta City Speedway. Rosch, eighth-starter Jacob Knapper, 11th-starter Trevor Nelson and Travis Scott completed the top five.

Charlie Olsen was the early leader of the WISSOTA Late Model feature. Olsen came upon the lapped car of Scott Lehn with four laps to go and ended up spinning him out. Jordan Tollakson became the new leader and led the rest of the way for his first win of the season. Matt Gilbertson, Jayson Good, Chad Olsen and Nathan Sletto rounded out the top five.

Ryan Flaten jumped out to the lead to start the WISSOTA Modified feature ahead of fellow front-row starter Wade Skindelien. Zach Johnson, who started outside of row three, picked his way forward and got by Flaten with four laps to go. Johnson drove on to his first feature win at Fiesta City Speedway since 2017. Flaten, Nate Heinrich, Knapper and Seth Brede were top-five finishers.

Dalton Haag led nearly the entire WISSOTA Hornet feature only to be passed by Kole Kampsen as the field came to take the white flag. Kampsen went on to win his fourth feature of the year. Haag, Adam VanDerostyne, Jerik Stabler and Brady Albertson completed the top five.

Brady Hagen led every lap of the Pure Stock feature except the final lap, when Coltyn Schuler made the pass for the lead and drove on to win his seven straight feature.
