Electric City invites Late Models for a fun weekend of action and after the dust settles, Harris and Degele deliver for their fans

GREAT FALLS, MT (June 21-22) - The Late Models held top billing for a doubleheader of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action at Electric City Speedway on Friday and Saturday. Jim Harris and Rock Degele split the Late Model honors, while Joey Price, Casey Steffenson, and Robert Petroff each pocketed a win over the weekend as well.

Harris captured the WISSOTA Late Model main event on Friday night. He was buried in eighth at the green flag, but navigated to the head of the pack by the end of the 25-lap main event. Vernon Hill charged from ninth to second with Jeremiah LeDue third, Jeremy Castro fourth and Travis Schumate fifth.

Degele was unable to compete in either his heat or feature on Friday, but his fortune improved significantly on Saturday, and he captured the 25-lap Late Model main event victory. The veteran started ninth on the grid and made a move in the final five laps to score the win. Paul Leach rallied from 11th to second, Ty Hample climbed from 13th to third, early leader Jim Zaremski settled for fourth, and Schumate was fifth.

Price captured Friday’s WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. He started on the inside of the second row and led much of the distance for his second win of the year at the speedway. Kolby Hannah finished in the runner-up position ahead of C.R. Eisenzimer, Michael Shure, and Kody Harvie.

Steffenson used a late-race pass to pick up the WISSOTA Super Stock win, his fourth already this season at the speedway. He started eighth, and took the lead from Pacer Popham with just a few laps remaining. Popham settled for second ahead of Bodie Smith, Jon Tribble, and Schumate.

Petroff led much of the distance for the WISSOTA Street Stock main event victory, his first this season at the oval. Dillon Hoppe started sixth, but worked into second by the checkers, with Devon Jadwin third, Cail Tinker fourth, and Caden Craven fifth.

Taylor Johnson earned the IMCA Modified feature on Friday and Paxton Flemming grabbed the Rocky Mtn Sprint feature on Saturday.
