Martini breaks through for podium finish Thursday; Smith nets another top-five out west

CASA GRANDE, AZ (January 16) - Kollin Hibdon, Mark Martini and Jake Smith were top performers Thursday, January 16 in their respective classes, as racers enjoyed another night of mid-winter action at Central Arizona Raceway.

Hibdon was the top WISSOTA-area finisher in the Modifieds. He started 14th in the feature field and finished 11th. Joey Price, of Great Falls, MT, was 25th, while Devin Fouquette was scored 28th.

In the Sport Mods, Mark Martini — who won several WISSOTA Midwest Mod features in 2024 — scored a podium finish Thursday. The Avon, Minnesota racer was joined in the top-five by St. Joseph’s Jake Smith, who finished fifth. Kaden Woodie also qualified for the feature in the Sport Mods and finished 12th.

Woodie also qualified for the Stock Car feature, and finished 17th in the field.
