Woodie wheels his way to Sport Mod victory Friday at Central Arizona Raceway

CASA GRANDE, AZ (January 17) - Central Arizona Raceway’s victory lane played host to a familiar WISSOTA-area racer Friday night, as Kaden Woodie topped the Sport Mod feature, highlighting the second to final night of Winter Nationals action in Casa Grande.

Woodie started on the front row and overcame polesitter Dustin White to take the lead and the eventual win. Jake Smith, a two-time WISSOTA National Champion in the Hornets and Mid Mods, started 11th in the field and finished sixth.

In the Modified feature, Great Falls, Montana’s Joey Price was the highest finisher. He charged from 22nd at the start to finish the feature in 14th. Devin Fouquette and Kollin Hibdon also qualified for the A-main, with Fouquette finishing 22nd and Hibdon finishing 28th.

Woodie also qualified for the Stock Car feature, starting 24th and finishing 27th.
