Tammen, Heinrich, Scott, Rieck, Jans, and Albertson have ‘fair’ finishes Friday at Fiesta City Speedway

MONTEVIDEO, MN (August 2) - A total of 73 cars were in the pits at Fiesta City Speedway for the Chippewa County Fair.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Mike Jans, Cory Tammen, Nate Heinrich, Derek Rieck, Brady Albertson, and Travis Scott.

Rieck led the entire WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature for his third win of the year. Sixth-starter Justin Bjorklund was second, seventh-starter Landyn Randt improved four spots to third, Gage Myers was fourth, and polesitter Ethen Waltz slipped back to fifth at the stripe.

Grady Myers took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Mike Jans took over out front on lap four, and held off a charging Justin Vogel in the final laps for his third win of the season. Ninth-starter Vogel settled for second, Kolton Brauer was third, Myers was fourth, and Zachary Flickinger completed the top five.

Travis Scott led every lap of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature for his first win of the year. He was chased to the checkered flag by Ryan Satter, Bailey Rosch, 10th-starter Jacob Knapper and Karter Reents in the top five.

C.J. Eilers took the lead at the start of the WISSOTA Late Model feature. A few laps later, Cory Tammen drove by into the top spot and did not look back, as he picked up his first win of the season. Jordan Tollakson made his way forward from seventh at the start to claim runner-up honors, while brother Jon was third. Jayson Good and Matt Gilbertson completed the top five.

Nate Heinrich led the WISSOTA Modified feature flag to flag, as he held off Brian Haben in the final laps for his second win of the year. Polesitter Jonathan Olmscheid slipped back to third, Wade Skindelien was fourth, and Jacob Knapper rounded out the top five.

Kole Kampsen took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Hornet feature, before Brady Albertson got by into the top spot soon after. He drove on to win his third feature of the season. Kampsen, Adam VanDerostyne, Jerik Stabler and Dalton Haag were top-five finishers.

Justin Erp took the lead early to start the Pure Stock feature. Jason Best passed Erp for the lead on the very next lap, and went on to get his first win of the season at Fiesta City Speedway.
