Rice Lake Speedway is ready for this weekend’s doubleheader, dubbed the Dairyland Dash

RICE LAKE, WI - Final details concerning the inaugural Dairyland Dash event at Rice Lake Speedway have been finalized for August 31-September 1.
There will be six classes of cars racing both nights for this event, with five of those WISSOTA sanctioned, including the Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks. Along with those five classes, USRA sanctioned Late Models will also be in action. All six classes will be racing a full program each night, with national points available for all six classes.
The Modifieds will be racing for $2,000 to win each night, with $125 to start the main event. The Super Stocks will be racing for $1,500 to win each night, with $125 dollars to start. The Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks will be racing for $1,000 to win each night, with $100 to start. The Pure Stocks will race for $400 to win and $50 to start their main event. The USRA Late Models will be running for $1,200 to win, with $100 to start.
Non-qualifiers will receive $100 for the Modifieds and Super Stocks, $75 dollars for the Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks, $50 for the Pure Stocks and $100 for the USRA Late Models. Full details on the complete purse can be found in this issue on Rice Lake’s ad and on their social media. Passing point will be used to determine the race lineups both nights.
There will be a draw fee for each class, ranging from $20 for the Pure Stocks, $30 for the Street Stocks and Midwest Modifieds, $40 for the Super Stocks, and $55 for the Modifieds. The USRA Late Models will have a draw fee of $40.
Some great sponsors have come on board to help support the first annual Dairyland Dash. Tim's Automotive Machine in Bloomer, Wisconsin will be sponsoring the Modified class both nights. Mastercraft Industries in Rice Lake will be sponsoring the Street Stocks and Midwest Modifieds each night as well. Jock's Towing and Repair in Spooner, Wisconsin will be offering a $100 Hard Charger award for all six classes each night. Other sponsorship details are expected to be released shortly.
Pit admission will be $35 per night. For the race fans, grandstand admission each night will be $20, with seniors paying $15 and kids paying $10.
Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 with the draw cutoff at 4:30 p.m. and racing both nights at 5 p.m. The grandstands will open at 3 p.m. for fans.
Rough camping will be available at $40 for the weekend. Firewood will be for sale and rings will be available to rent also. There will be a pancake breakfast open to the public on Sunday morning, along with other activities, including an inflatable race.
The Dash weekend begins at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday night, August 30 with a special show for WISSOTA-sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, as well as the track’s Hornet class.
