Gilbertson, Henkemeyer, Rieck, Brauer and VanDerostyne visit victory lane on final Friday of Fiesta City action

MONTEVIDEO, MN (August 23) - The 2024 racing season at Fiesta City Speedway came to an end on Friday night, with four drivers winning their first championship in their respective divisions.
WISSOTA Dirt Track Series feature winners during the program included Matt Gilbertson, Jordan Henkemeyer, Derek Rieck, Kolton Brauer, and Adam VanDerostyne.
Rieck led the entire WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature for his fifth win of the season and second championship in the Midwest Modifieds. He was chased to the checkered flags by Darren Engesser, Gage Myers, Taylor Willms and Jaden Gannott in the top five.
Kolton Brauer led the WISSOTA Street Stock feature flag to flag for his fifth win of the year. Brauer topped seventh-starter Justin Vogel, brother Braden Brauer, Mike Jans and Alex Grinager in the top five. Jans won the track championship for the fourth time in the Street Stocks and fifth overall.
Jordan Henkemeyer led every lap of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature for his second win of the season. Brayden Hedtke improved four spots to second, track champion Travis Scott was third, Jacob Knapper was fourth, and Karter Reents completed the top five.
C.J. Eilers and Jayson Good battled side by side for the lead to start the WISSOTA Late Model feature before Eilers took over the lead on the next lap. Matt Gilbertson was making his way forward and drove by Eilers for the top spot. He held on to win his fifth feature of the year, his first Late Model championship and second overall at the speedway. Eighth-starter Jordan Tollakson settled for second, Jon Tollakson was third, Eilers was fourth, and Dustin Johanneck rounded out the top five.
Adam VanDerostyne led the entire WISSOTA Hornet feature for his second-straight win of the season. Jerik Stabler, Dalton Haag and Paxton Tjaden filled out the top five, and Brady Albertson won the points for his first Fiesta City track championship.
Brady Hagen was the early leader of the Pure Stock feature, before Justin Erp got by on the very next lap. Coltyn Schuler took over out front on lap four, and went on to win his 12th feature of the year and his first track championship.
