Chernosky churns out two more wins at Thunder City, Kelly claims Mid Mods and Brauer bolts up north to take Street Stock score

THUNDER BAY, ON (July 3) - Cole Chernosky earned a pair of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series wins on Wednesday night at Thunder City Speedway. Jeff Kelly rallied from the tail of the field for the Midwest Modified win, and Braden Brauer earned another Street Stock win as well.

Chernosky grabbed the checkers in the 18-lap WISSOTA Modified feature. He started in the fourth row, took the lead early in the second half, and picked up his third win of the season in the division. John Toppozini was second, early leader Scott McKinnon was third, Jeff Davis was fourth and Dan Bertand was fifth.

Chernosky also scored his third WISSOTA Super Stock win at the oval. He started in the third row and worked to the point in the first few laps. He raced away to victory over – again – Toppozini in second, David Allen third, Rick Simpson fourth and Andrew Groom fifth.

Kelly topped his B-feature in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, and backed that up with an 18th-to-first run in the 18-lap A-feature. He moved to the point early in the second half, and grabbed his first win over Tanner Ulakovic, Trenton Woodbeck, Kolby Reed and Don Craig.

Michael Shalley topped Hornet action.
