Strand, Dietzler, Hess and Schill stir up some dust in victory lane at River Cities Speedway

GRAND FORKS, ND (July 11) - WISSOTA Dirt Track Series racing continued Friday night at River Cities Speedway, with Dustin Strand, Braden Brauer, Jamie Dietzler and Lance Schill all taking checkered flags.

Trey Hess held the point at the start of the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Hess stretched his advantage to a comfortable eight car lengths until two yellows slowed the race. On each restart, Braden Brauer came up to battle Hess for the top spot. On the second and final restart, Brauer found a way around hometown driver Hess to take the lead and walk away with the win. John Halvorson, Scotty Messner and Weston Ramsrud completed the top five.

There was no touching Dustin Strand in the WISSOTA Late Model feature. Strand started from the pole and encountered the back of the 19-car field in a handful of laps. From there, he masterfully worked his way through traffic, not allowing second-place runner Brad Seng to close the gap. Strand cruised to the feature win to complete the clean sweep on the night and score his second consecutive Late Model win at River Cities. Seng, Shane Edginton, Mike Greseth, Joey Pederson completed the top five.

Jamie Dietzler dominated the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, leading all 20 laps. The win was his seventh at River Cities. Lance Schill won the June 14 makeup feature after holding off Tyler Doell and Norman County Raceway Thursday night winner Taylor Jacobson to garner the victory.

Jade Hastings won the NOSA Sprint Car feature while Dexter Dvergsten won in Lightning Sprint competition.
