MONTEVIDEO, MN (June 8) - Thirty-two WISSOTA Street Stocks and 26 WISSOTA Late Models were on hand at Fiesta City Speedway on Saturday for night two of the weekend doubleheader.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winner included Tyler Peterson, Eric Riley, Derek Rieck, and Jerik Stabler.

The 2023 Challenge Series champion, Pat Doar, and current point leader Cole Searing earned the front row for the night’s 40-lap, $3,000-to-win WISSOTA Late Model feature event, with Searing blasting off on the initial start and leading the field into turn number one to take command as the field completed the opening circuit.

With Searing out front, Doar rode around in second, while Peterson ran third just ahead of Ryan Mikkelson and Matt Gilbertson, as they duked it out for fourth early in the race. The first 26 circuits of the race went non-stop with some great battles inside the top five as well as just behind the leaders - Kevin Burdick and Joel Bennett were side by side for sixth, and Shane Sabraski was alongside Jordan Tollakson for eighth for much of the first half of the 40-lapper.

The first caution of the night flew on lap 26 for a Todd Frank spin. Following the restart, Searing took off out front, but allowed Peterson, who was in second, to challenge him. The caution quickly flew for a Kevin Eder slowdown.

In a near repeat of the previous night, Peterson was able to overtake Searing for the lead following the final restart, but this time it was with five laps remaining. Once out front, Peterson and Searing had to work through lapped cars to get to the checkered, but it was not a hindrance as Peterson took his second win of the weekend. Searing ran second for the second-consecutive night and Gilbertson rounded out the podium for the second night in a row as well. Mikkelson was fourth and Bennett recorded his best series finish to date, in fifth.

Eric Riley held off challenges from Zachary Flickinger and Ty Agen to win the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Agen settled for runner-up honors, while Flickinger was third. Kyle Dykhoff and Kolton Brauer were top-five finishers.

Derek Rieck led the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature from start to finish for his second win of the year. Haley Dykhoff improved six spots to second, Darren Engesser was third, Justin Bjorklund was fourth and Gage Myers completed the top five.

Jerik Stabler led every lap of the WISSOTA Hornet feature for his second win this season. Tenth-starter Kole Kampsen was second, Adam VanDerostyne was third, Brady Albertson was fourth and Bradley Rossow completed the top five.
