Strand doubles up in Late Models and Mods while Rehill rolls once again in Midwest Mods and they ride off into the sunset with trophies at Dead Horse Creek

MORDEN, MANITOBA (August 25) - Dustin Strand closed out the long weekend of racing at Dead Horse Creek Speedway Sunday afternoon with two victories in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action, as the speedway ran its held-over GVE Deere Run from last month’s rainout.

Brandon Rehill was also a winner in sanctioned action, taking the victory in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, while other track winners included Chris Audette and Stan Dueck.

In the WISSOTA Late Models, Strand started in the second row, getting into the top spot early and leading every lap to garner the win. He was chased across the stripe by Scott Greer, Shane Edginton, Shane Holden and Tyson Turnbull in the top five.

Strand started eighth in the WISSOTA Modifieds, picking his way forward and grabbing the lead with about four laps left. Polesitter Justin Bronk was relegated to second, while seventh-starter Ward Imrie, Rick Delaine and Tony Caissie filled out the top five.

Seventh-starter Brandon Rehill made his way forward to the lead about lap three and hung on for the victory in the Midwest Mods, ahead of Hunter Besson, Austin Hunter, Ted Doell, and Jason Somack in the top five.
