GRAND FORKS, ND - It's almost time to “Go Hard or Go Home” for the 18th year in a row. The 18th running of the John Seitz Memorial Late Model Invitational at the tight quarter-mile River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota is set and ready to be run on September 5-7, 2024.

The event will kick off again this year with the crowning of the NLRA Late Model Series Champion on Thursday, an event that began in 2011. For the 14th year in a row on Thursday, September 5, the event will kick off with a racing program dubbed the “Prelude to the Johnny.” Late Models will compete in a $1,892 to win program, with complete shows in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and WISSOTA Street Stocks. The WISSOTA Super Stocks are a part of the event for the second year in a row, and will run heat races to start the weekend.

The second night begins Friday, September 6 with action for the WISSOTA Late Models, WISSOTA Super Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Street Stocks and WISSOTA Modifieds. Friday’s program will feature heat races and the $920-to-win Go Hard or Go Home pole dash for the Late Models, plus a complete program (heat races, semi-features and features) for the WISSOTA Modifieds, during the Big Al Delaine Memorial. There will be heat races for the Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks, as well as B-features and the main feature for the Super Stocks.

The Saturday, September 7 program will include B-features, a last chance race and the 92-lap, $9,200-to-win feature event for the Late Models, plus another complete program for the Modifieds. The B-features for the Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks and their A main, as well as another full program for the Super Stocks, will also be contested.

More than 50 of the Midwest’s best Late Model competitors from upward of five states and several Canadian provinces, including several previous champions, are all expected to be in attendance to compete for this giant purse and the prestige of winning the John Seitz Memorial! In addition, a host of local competitors should be in attendance and will be looking to defend their home turf from the travelers to try to keep the $9,200 in the Grand Forks area once the memorial weekend’s event is completed.

Modified drivers will race for $1,192 to win on Thursday night, $3,092 on Friday night and $1,120 to win on Saturday night, while Street Stock and Midwest Modified competitors will race for $592 to win on Thursday night, and then each division will run for a $1,292-to-win purse during their Friday/Saturday program. The Super Stocks will compete for $1,992 during their Thursday/Friday program and for $992 on Saturday night.

Thursday and Friday’s action will start at 7 p.m. with Saturday’s show beginning at 6 p.m. This event has been ultra-successful over the first 17 seasons and fans will want to make sure to be in Grand Forks for the 18th running of the event.

If you aren’t able to be in attendance, the event will be live streamed on pay per view at www.WatchFYE.tv all three nights.

Tons of contingency awards will be provided in all divisions throughout the course of the weekend by some great sponsors. For ticket prices and more information please log onto www.rivercitiesspeedway.com or www.fyemotorsports.com for more event information or call Chris at (715) 497-8916.
