CRARY, ND (August 17) - Devils Lake Speedway managed to get another race under its belt Saturday night, after receiving around three inches of rain Thursday. The track was in perfect condition Saturday night for side-by-side battles all night long.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Austin Hunter and Trey Hess.

In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, Hunter took the early lead in the feature and never looked back, grabbing the eventual checkered flag. Jason Strand charged through the field to finish second and Jason Halvorson rounded out the podium in third. Logan Salazar and Ryne Uhirch completed the top five.

Greg Jose was like a rocket in the beginning of the WISSOTA Street Stock feature, and opened a big lead. He then lost a ball joint and left the racing surface in dramatic fashion.

Hess restarted in the lead and drove himself to another victory, taking home the $1,004 payday in memory of the late Cliff Reeves. Seth Klostreich was second, Kasey Ussatis finished third, Dustin Ebensteiner charged into fourth from his 13th-starting spot, and Stoney Kruk finished fifth.

Joe Armstrong swept the night in the Pure Stocks, taking the win ahead of Tate Bullis, Kyle Charette, and Allen Charette, Jr.

Jeremy Lizakowski took an early lead in the Sprint feature and drove to the victory ahead of Nick Shirek, Myles Tomlinson, Dusty Lawson, and Matt Knudson in the top five.
