Broksieck, Zabel, Grehl, Stearns and Skorczewski stampede to wins on a hot night of action at Miller Central Speedway

MILLER, SD (July 27) - The WISSOTA Dirt Track Series returned to Miller Central Speedway on Saturday night. Josh Skorczewski, Mike Stearns, Nathan Grehl, Dawson Zabel and Maria Broksieck collected the victories in their respective divisions.

Skorczewski started on the front row of the WISSOTA Late Model main event, and paced the field to the finish line for his second win of the season at the oval. Mike Stearns navigated to a second-place finish ahead of Chase Gelling, Jayson Good and Justin Karlen.

Stearns finished one position better in the WISSOTA Modified main event - he started on the front row and raced off to over a four-second advantage at the checkered flag. The victory was his second of the season in Miller. Dylan Zabel crossed the line in second with Lane Johnson third, James Hanley fourth and Brad Lawrence fifth.

Nathan Grehl rallied from dead last on the 10-car WISSOTA Super Stock grid to score the win. After a DNF in his heat race, Grehl charged from the outside of the fifth row to grab his second win of the year at the oval. Matt Johnson climbed from eighth to second ahead of Brad Kopecky, early leader Shawn Schnabel, and Derek Zastrow.

Dawson Zabel notched his second WISSOTA Midwest Modified win of the season at the speedway. Zabel climbed from seventh to score the win over Jarod Klein, who started the race in the 12th. Scott Hansen, Jake Wranek and Jayme Peterson rounded out the top five.

Broksieck started in the fourth row en route to her WISSOTA Street Stock victory, her second of the season in Miller. Broc Stout climbed from seventh to second with Jodie Michaelsohn third, Grady Myers fourth and Matt Goth fifth.

Cody Songer grabbed the Pure Stock victory.
