CRARY, ND (June 29) - Trey Hess, Mike Stearns, and Bailey Cousins were winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action Saturday at Devils Lake Speedway June 29.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Hess took the early lead and said “see ya later” to the rest of the field. The battle to watch was between Dustin Ebensteiner and Seth Klostreich; the two drivers battled back and forth throughout the feature swapping positions on every inch of the race track. Hess garnered the eventual checkered flag, while Klostreich clinched second and Ebensteiner finished in the final podium spot.

The WISSOTA Midwest Mods were the showstopper of the night, as Preston Carr and Bailey Cousins swapped for the lead through every corner of a caution-filled feature. Each time it looked like Cousins took the lead, a caution fell. Cousins prevailed, however, and came out on top on the last lap at the line over Carr. Carr settled for second and Jory Berg improved five spots to third.

Five WISSOTA Modifieds checked in for the night. Mike Stearns returned to victory lane in Devils Lake Saturday night, having previously gotten his first Super Stock win in 2005 at the track. Ryan Schroeder finished second, and Ryan Cousins was third.

Steve Nordum won in Sprint car action Saturday, while Joe Armstrong was victorious in the Pure Stocks.
