PRINCETON, MN (June 14) - Sprint Cars invaded Princeton Speedway on Friday night with the UMSS and MN Micro Sprints stopping by for a race night. The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Hornets also accompanied the Sprints as part of the program.

Winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action included Ashton Schulte, Andrew Hanson, and Bobie Arnes.

Schulte and Joey Wagamon brought the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds around the track for their feature and Schulte claimed the immediate lead. Wagamon, Ben Lewis and Cole Elton raced closely for second through fourth, with Jason VandeKamp and Cole Boston right behind vying for top-five spots.

Schulte began to stretch his lead while the race for second remained competitive. A couple cautions kept the drivers at a stop-and-go pace, with Schulte remaining in the point. Just behind, VandeKamp and Elton kept pressure on Schulte. Elton gave the No. 11 a couple of runs, however Schulte held his line and took his first-ever feature win. VandeKamp snagged second with Ryan Putnam, Elton and Cole Boston rounding out the top five.

Charlie Shiek and Steve Eggersgluess lined up along row one for the WISSOTA Street Stocks, and drivers were three-wide as the green dropped. Shiek snagged the top spot with pressure from Kyle Howland and Andrew Hanson right behind. The top three kept close for the lead, and exited turn four three-wide. Howland and Hanson moved ahead of Shiek, and remained door to door as laps passed by.

As a driver slowed on the back stretch, Hanson and Howland slowed and split the slower car, which allowed Hanson to break free of Howland. The checkers came into view, and Hanson took the win after a refreshing caution-free race for the fans. Howland settled in second with Shiek, Keith Tourville and Kaden Woodie in the top five.

The WISSOTA Hornets rolled on the track, led by Jonathan Aderman and Bobie Arnes on row one. The Hornets ran a quick 10-lap feature with a great battle as the race went green. Drivers remained door to door from nose to tail the entire first lap until Arnes nosed out into the lead. The race went by quickly and without issue, with Arnes taking the win. Aderman, Anthony Jenson, Alex Aderman and Jenna Hagemann rounded out the top five spots.

Jake Kouba and Ken Hron were on row one in the UMSS Traditional Sprint feature. After a few attempts at green-flag racing, Chris Lewis grabbed the point with Mike Mueller in second. Kouba held third while Mueller moved to the inside of Lewis. Mueller made the pass for second while Kouba put pressure on Lewis with lapped traffic mixed in.

A caution reset the field with seven laps to go, however not much change occurred in the top drivers and the final laps were completed with a few cautions. Mueller claimed the win ahead of Kouba, Lewis, Jack Berger, and Brad Peterson in the top five.

Tony Kaus and Dani Aldrich sped off when the green waved for the UMSS Winged Sprints. Kaus took the immediate lead while drivers battled for top-five positions. A car spun in turn one brought the caution out, and after the race resumed, Chase Viebrock grabbed the lead. Viebrock was quickly in traffic as cars covered the entire race surface. Laps passed without incident while Viebrock ran multiple lanes and cruised through lapped traffic. Viebrock drove off with no issues toward the checkers, followed by Owen Carlson, Mike Mueller, Jeremy Snow and Todd Hansen in the top five.

The final Sprint class of the night took the track as the Minnesota Micro Sprints geared up for the green. Joe Snow took the early lead, remaining in command following a caution. Four drivers battled closely for second, and even ran three wide a time or two, until Luke Lane shook out into the spot. Lane began to challenge Snow at about the halfway point. As they worked by a lapped car in the closing laps, they were three wide with the slower car and contact occurred among the racers, triggering the yellow.

The green reappeared and drivers battled with just three laps to go. Snow sped away as Lane, Jensrud and Caleb Moen were three-wide for second. Contact again occurred among the top drivers triggering a caution, but the checkered flag waved and Snow took the win. Lane, Carter Jensrud, Tyler Pelofske and Owen Henrichs rounded out the top five.
