Rodin rolls to a Mid Mod series win at I-94 Speedway while Bitzan, Agen and Rohner roll over their rivals on Friday

FERGUS FALLS, MN (June 14) - A strong field of 30 WISSOTA Midwest Mods signed up for the start of a busy weekend of racing in the Rebel Midwest Mod tour, starting at I-94 emr Speedway Friday night. When the final checkered flag waved, not only did The Nightmare Lucas Rodin garner a tour win, but Dustin Bitzan, Ty Agen, and Jeff Rohner were also winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action.

With a nice 26-car field starting the Midwest Mod feature, Corey Storck and Nate Reinke led the field from the front row, with Reinke taking the early lead. During lap four, Rodin got by Storck and Reinke for the lead, with Scott Bintz and Justin Jones fighting hard for fourth. Five laps later Jones broke and the yellow flew.

Storck and Reinke spent several laps fighting for second behind Rodin following the restart. One lap later, Matt Schow moved toward the front and passed Reinke for second. Late in the race Schow, Reinke and Storck all tried to chase down Rodin, but to no avail as Rodin grabbed the win. Reinke, Schow, Storck and Tommy Nichols completed the top five.

The 16-car WISSOTA Street Stock feature had several racers who began the race out front, and who had never won at I-94 before. One of those drivers was veteran racer Greg Platzer, as he led the first 10 laps with Joe Martin strong in second. The talented Ty Agen was on the move to the front, as he passed Martin for second with seven laps to go, and then caught Platzer and took the lead with five laps left. Late in the race, Eric Riley made a late charge, but was unable to catch the lightning-fast Agen. Agen took the victory ahead of Riley, Platzer, Martin, and Tyler Klugman in the top five.

A small field of 11 WISSOTA Modifieds included a strong running Landon Atkinson, who took the lead with Lucas Rodin in second. Soon Dusty Bitzan got by Rodin for second, and for the next three laps Atkinson and Bitzan swapped the lead until Bitzan took over for good. With four laps to go, Brady Gerdes also got by Atkinson for second, and tried to catch Bitzan, but when the checkered flew it was Bitzan out front. Gerdes, Atkinson Rodin and Zach Johnson completed the top five.

A nice field of 11 WISSOTA Hornets were led to green by Kevin Wahl and Christian Kast in their fight for the top spot. Along came Jeff Rohner to take over, and once he was out front, he never let go of the lead. He drove on for his fourth win of the season at I-94. Chase Pourrier had another strong showing and grabbed second ahead of Christian Kast, Dexyn Habraken and Tylar Pourrier.

Adam Prieve won the Cliff Viessman Inc. Gen X Late Model feature, his second of the season overall.

I-94 Speedway thanks Shocker Hitch, Jetline Sales and Service, Del Med, and Executive Sanitation for sponsorship of this event.
