Norman County goes green and Blacklance gets first WISSOTA checkered at the track in 2024

ADA, MN (June 6) - Aaron Blacklance topped the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds to highlight action for Norman County Raceway’s season opener Thursday, taking the victory from the front row and holding off heavy hitters like Matt Schow, Corey Storck and Jamie Dietzler to garner the victory June 6.

Blacklance led from start to finish, taking home the first trophy of the season by .818 seconds ahead of Schow, who improved two spots to second. Storck, Dietzler, and Phil Christlieb completed the top five.

In the track’s other action, Chase Peterson picked his way forward from ninth for the win in the IMCA Hobby Stocks, while Morgan Nyquist led from the pole to victory lane in the RaceSaver Sprints. Chris VanMil was victorious in the IMCA Northern Sport Mods, while Rob VanMil drove from eighth on the field to the win in the IMCA Stock Cars. Tye Wilke was also a winner Thursday in the INEX Legends.
