Geiss, Switzenberg and Petroff put their speedy rides into victory lane at Billings, MT
BILLINGS, MT (May 6) - Big Sky Speedway hosted its first event of the 2024 season Saturday, with WISSOTA Dirt Track Series victories by RC Geiss, Chad Switzenberg, and Robert Petroff highlighting the night’s events.
In the Super Stocks, Geiss led from flag to flag to hold off Casey Steffenson for the victory. Ryan Fasching, Jon Tribble and Andrew Gilbraith completed the top five.
Switzenberg also led from flag to flag to capture his first victory of the season in the Midwest Modifieds. Jon Tribble improved four spots to second, David Hangsleben was third, Rod Lorenz was fourth and Nathan Kenaston completed the top five.
Petroff took the lead about lap 11 and drove to the Street Stock victory, his third victory already of this young season. Troy Cepak, Jr. started eighth on the grid and finished second, while Rod Lorenz improved three spots to third. Tenth-starter Bob Gordon was fourth, and Brady Lorenz was steady in fifth.
In the track’s Wingless Sprint class, Phil Dietz took command from the start and drove off to the victory, his first of the season.
