Adams, Simpson, Jans, Stabler and Rosch rumble to victory lane at Fiesta City Speedway
By Chad Adamson
MONTEVIDEO, MN (May 10) - A total of 70 cars were in the pits for the 2024 season opener at Fiesta City Speedway Friday night, May 10.
WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Kevin Adams, David Simpson, Mike Jans, Jerik Stabler, and Bailey Rosch.
Canadian driver David Simpson came all the way from Thunder Bay, Ontario to race in Montevideo and was the early leader of the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. Blake Adams took over the top spot with four laps to go, but the lead was short-lived, as Adams' car went off the track in turn three on the next lap when something broke on his car. This gave the lead back to Simpson. Derek Rieck challenged Simpson for the lead during the final two laps, but Simpson came away with the win, his first at Fiesta City Speedway. Rieck, Matt Everts, Benjamin Beekman and Randy Klein were top-five finishers.

Josh Long completed his charge from 18th to finish third, ninth-starter Maria Broksieck was fourth and Ty Schuler completed the top five.
Bailey Rosch led the entire WISSOTA Super Stock feature for his first win at Fiesta City Speedway. Travis Scott and Stewart Schipke were the top three finishers in the feature.
