In first of three 2024 events, Nelson, Peterson and Rossow roll to wins at DSFS

HURON, SD (May 11) - Dakota State Fair Speedway played host to three WISSOTA classes Saturday, May 11, for the first of a few special weekends the track will be hosting in 2024. Winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action included Trevor Nelson, Jayme Peterson and Andy Rossow.
Nelson, of Warner, added to his win total at the Huron track with a victory in the 15-lap WISSOTA Super Stock feature race. He started sixth in the 10-car field. Jeremy North of Huron moved up three spots to finish second, while Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock was third. Rounding out the top five were Doug VanLiere of Madison and Bryson North of Huron.

Jayme Peterson of Highmore collected the win in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature race. After starting fifth, he held off Scott Hansen of Garden City to secure the victory in the 15-lap race. Taylor Schmidt of Bath was third, followed by Derek Rieck of Ortonville, MN, and Brock Hess of Sioux Falls.

Andy Rossow of Florence reached victory lane in the 15-lap WISSOTA Street Stock feature race. Rossow started eighth in the 13-car field and worked his way to the front. Jayden Bogh of Huron started third and finished as the runner-up, while Maria Broksieck of Goodwin was third. Broc Stout of Winner and Grady Myers of Winner rounded out the top five.
Tim Kaeding picked up his first win of the season Saturday as the 410 Midwest Sprint Touring Series held its inaugural event during the Summer Shakes season opener at Dakota State Fair Speedway.
Kaeding topped the 16-car field in the 20-lap feature race. He started on the outside of the front row and wheeled his way to the victory.
