Shaw sweeps SWDRA action at Central Arizona Raceway

CASA GRANDE, AZ (February 16-17) - Don Shaw picked up back-to-back wins during the weekend of February 16-17 at Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, AZ.

Shaw, who started third in the field, took the lead on lap three and cruised to win Friday's $1,000 20-lapper, notching his 31st career Southwest Dirt Racing Association victory. Second-starting Jason Strand led the first two laps before settling for third behind polesitter Justin Bussell. Karl Tipton and Steve Stultz completed the top five.

On Saturday, the second-starting Shaw — a former WISSOTA National Champion and current owner and promoter of I-94 Speedway — led all 20 laps and topped the six-car field to collect his second $1,000 payday of the weekend; it was Shaw's 32nd career SWDRA feature victory. Pole-starting Jason Strand trailed Shaw for the entire distance, finishing 1.662 seconds back. Karl Tipton, Justin Bussell and Lance White completed the top five.
