Mahder and Larson lock in some Late Model action in Georgia

SYLVANIA, GA (February 7) – Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA became the first-ever feature winner with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series Friday evening as he captured the Winter Freeze XV opener at Screven Motor Speedway. Roberts stole the lead away from race-long pacesetter John Henderson on lap 32 and led the remaining nine laps to take home the $5,000 payday,

Zack Mitchell charged to a runner-up outing behind Roberts in his 2025 season debut while John Henderson settled for a third-place finish on the podium.

Brent Larson, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, was on hand for action, as was Bloomer, Wisconsin’s Chad Mahder. Mahder finished 11th in his B feature, while Larson was DQ’d following qualifying. No report was available at press time regarding the DQ.
